Code of Conduct for
the Parents
- Parental co-operation is indispensable for the proper education of their
children. The parents are therefore requested to keep in constant touch with the
school authorities concerning the progress of their children. In order that
lessons may be duly prepared, children should devote some time daily for private
study. Parents and guardians are PARTICULARLY requested to call for and check
the Progress Report of their children and not wake up only at the end of the
year
- Parents are requested to see that their children attend school punctually
and regularly and in their proper school uniform. Neatness in dress and
person should be cultivated by every pupil.
- The academic progress or weakness of each student will be indicated regularly in the
Progress Report Card. Parents should check the progress of the children with care
and take note of the remarks made by the class teacher. They are also requested to
sign and return the Progress Report to the school within three days if a pupil fails
to bring the Report duly signed within the specified time, he/she will be liable for
action.
- Parents and Guardians are not allowed to go to the class-rooms to meet their children or for discussion with teachers during school hours without the permission of the Headmistress. Parents are invited to meet the class teachers on the fourth Saturday of every month and discuss the progress of their children.
- Parents are requested not to send for their children during class hours except in cases of unforeseen circumstances or serious illness and in such cases, someone from home must come to take the child.
- Children are not allowed to visit their friends' homes after school hours. This would remove much inconvenience to the school authorities as well as to the parents.
- It is very much appreciated when parents respond readily to the invitation sent to them to attend any school function or whenever they are called to meet the Headmistress and the teachers. It is only with the co-operation of the parents that school can promote the all- round development of students.
- Any communication (request, complaint, suggestion) made by the parents to the school should be addressed to the Headmistress. The matter should be clearly stated and signed
- No child, suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should be sent to school
- Parents are kindly requested not to take their children out for long holidays during the working days.
- Letters to students addressed to the school are subjected to scrutiny by the Headmistress.
- It is advisable to avoid private tuitions as far as possible, since many times the home work is done by the tutors and not by the students.
